New Year's Eve Celebrations in the St. Louis Area

Whether you are getting together with family and friends or going out on the town, St. Louis has many places and events where you can "ring in the New Year"!

Family Friendly Celebrations

One family friendly New Years Eve event is the "First Night" celebration held in the Grand Center in St. Louis. It is an alcohol free event that features live performances of singing and dancing and ends with a fireworks display at midnight. Another family friendly event called First Night River Bend, is held on the campus of the Lewis and Clark Community College in Godfrey Illinois and features music and dancing, face painting and more activities for children. New Year's fun for the kids can also be found at the Rec-Plex in St. Peters. They hold a lock-in for children ages 8 to 13 from 7pm on New Year's Eve to 7am New Year's Day which features ice skating, swimming, and more.

Celebrate with Friends at a Party!

Many restaurants and hotels around the area ring in the New Year with parties. There are always parties at the Millenium Hotel in Downtown St. Louis and at the Ritz-Carlton in Clayton. The Lodge at Pere Marquette State Park near Godfrey Illinois hosts a party with dinner and entertainment and also includes a night stay at the Lodge and breakfast in the morning. The Lemp Mansion holds a New Year's Eve celebration that features music, dinner and bar. The Casa Loma Ballroom celebrates with entertainment, a breakfast buffet at midnight and of course dancing!

Unique St. Louis Celebrations

How about an unique way to ring in the new year? How about snow skiing? Hidden Valley Ski Resort has their Midnight Ski that features fireworks at midnight and skiing til 3am. Or maybe a with a secret? The St. Louis Symphony has an annual New Year's Eve concert in which the program for the evening is always kept a secret until the actual performance, but it is always sure to please! Or how about laughing in the New Year? The Funny Bone Comedy Club in Westport Plaza brings in popular comedians for the evening.

Other places that hold New Year's Eve events include The Pageant and Blueberry Hill, both which are in the Loop, the Foundry Art Centre located on Main Street in St. Charles and many more.
